This past week has been so much fun! Laydon was having his third birthday and Aunt Nicole and Uncle Frank were there to provide the coolest third birthday Laydon could dream of. Laydon is currently obsessed rock crawling and monster trucks and it just so happens that Uncle Frank and Aunt Nicole are professional rock crawlers! Laydon can never get enough of this and loves watching them on tv, seeing them compete in person, and "helping" his Uncle Frank wrench on his rig. For the last two months all Laydon could talk about was how he was going to have a monster truck birthday party with a monster truck cake. We decided we couldn't pass this up and asked Aunt Nicole to help us make this happen. Well needless to say Laydon got his birthday wish and had the best monster truck birthday ever!
Aunt Nicole was our "celebrity" guest and she gave complimentary car rides to all. It was a blast! There were about 23 little boys and 2 little girls running all around the grassy patch up near our house. We all played grass games and took turns riding in the rock crawler. Pizza, chips, and cup cakes topped with toy cars was served and signed magazines and posters was available for all.
My favorite part of the party was to see the excitement in all the kids eyes as they waited for there 2 minute ride in the rock crawler and then the realization that Nicole was a real life celebrity! Not only did Laydon and all the little kids love it, but I loved it. By far Aunt Nicole and Uncle Frank provided the best little boy birthday party I have ever been to. Laydon and I want to give a huge shot out to Aunt Nicole and Uncle Frank and say one thousand thanks for the best birthday party ever! WE LOVE YOU and THANK YOU!
